AGREEMAR was present at the 29th Conference of the Hydrogeology Section of the German Geological Society in Aachen, Germany

Between 20-23 March 2024, Dr. Stefan (TUD) attended the 29th Conference of the Hydrogeological Section of the German Geological Society (FH-DGGV) in Aachen, Germany, and presented the latest developments of the web-based INOWAS groundwater modelling platform, including modelling case studies from the AGREEMAR project.

Dr Stefan (TUD) presented the INOWAS modelling platform at the 28th Conference of the Hydrogeology Section of the German Geological Society in Aachen, 20-23 March 2024

The FH-DGGV conference is the biggest conference on hydrogeology within the German-speaking community, being organised every two years in different locations around Germany. After one event cancelled due to COVID restrictions and another one organised fully online, this year’s event brought together a large number of researchers, public authorities, consulting companies, and people interested in hydrogeology from Germany, Austria and Switzerland, but also participants from other countries. The conference included 23 sessions ranging from groundwater exploration, management, and prediction, with very interesting topics on conventional and emerging techniques such as the role of artificial intelligence and digitalisation in hydrogeological applications.

The presentation of Dr. Stefan was included in session 18. Managed aquifer recharge (MAR): challenges and solutions in the implementation of MAR, chaired by Prof. Christoph Schüth and Dr. Stephan Schulz from the Institute of Applied Geosciences of TU Darmstadt.
